0% Less CO2
This is possible because our local dost (Jeevan Da Family) has made sure that the property fulfils the following Eco-Sustainable travel criteria:
This property scores 4.2/5 on MylocalDost’s Sustainable Criteria — a reflection of its commitment to conscious living. From supporting local livelihoods to protecting nature, every choice here is creating real, lasting impact. Here’s How:

Locally built, locally staffed, and locally sourced — the property is owned and run by the local family of Surya Gaon and 100% of our team comes from the same village, majority of the food ingredients is sourced from within the same region, and we actively support community development, women empowerment, and preservation of local culture and craft through our Experiences that are offered at our property.
Green Environment & Biodiversity Conservation
90% of the property is under green cover, with sustainable material construction and no harmful night lighting to protect wildlife. Organic gardening, use of dropped wood for bonfires, and coliving with the flora and fauna create a haven where nature thrives and guests experience a truly eco-conscious stay.
Air & Water Quality
Rainwater harvesting, wastewater reuse, and extensive green cover keep the ecosystem healthy and self-sustaining. With no vehicular pollution inside the property and most areas accessible on foot, guests breathe fresher air, enjoy a quieter environment, and witness how water and air can be preserved through conscious efforts.
Waste Management
The property reduces waste through reusables, refillable bottles & composting practices. Organic waste is converted into compost for on-site use, while minimal plastic reliance helps protect the environment. Guests are encouraged to take back their plastic waste, ensuring responsible tourism and supporting Vanantara’s commitment to a cleaner ecosystem.
