About the Eco Stay & Experience

Welcome to the Forest Farm That Heals — Slowly, Deeply, and Naturally...

Tucked alongside the Sattal Reserve Forest, Heal Farm is not just a farm — it’s a living, breathing forest sanctuary built from the scratch with the intent to heal, share, and reconnect. What began as an experiment in 2012 to regenerate a pine-dominated land into a thriving mixed broadleaf forest has grown into a lush, biodiverse ecosystem with over 12,000 trees, shrubs, and medicinal plants.

Spread across five acres, the farm invites you to leave behind the city’s speed, slow down, detox and embrace a more intentional rhythm. Glass-roofed bathrooms let you bathe under the sky. Composting loos with lake views remind you of nature’s cycle — where nothing is wasted, and everything returns. The Earthy accommodation, Yogashala, Art Room, Sonorium, and Meditation decks are all lovingly designed to dissolve the layers between you and nature.

This carbon-negative forest farm runs on a powerful ethos: regeneration, not consumption. It’s where you wake to birdsong, eat food grown in harmony with the land, and go to bed a little more grounded than when you arrived.

Untouched location. Limited phone network. No room service. No distractions. Just forests that heal and a lifestyle that reminds you what really matters. For those wishing to work from this peaceful sanctuary, our common library offers high-speed Wi-Fi and amazing green views to keep you focused and creative while you work from hills.

Location

Things to Note

Private Transport: If you're driving from Delhi/NCR or nearby cities, take the route via Haldwani–Kathgodam–Bhimtal–Bhowali. We're around 30 kms from Kathgodam. Use the Google Maps link for accurate directions and keep in touch with our team once you cross Kathgodam, we will guide you with directions. The entire drive from Delhi takes around 7 hours.

Public Transport:

  • Train: Take a train to Kathgodam, the last railway station in the region, well connected from Delhi and other major cities. You also get early morning Shatabdi from Delhi to Kathgodam. From here, the farm is a 30-km scenic drive away. You can pre-book a taxi or we can help arrange a trusted local driver.
  • Bus: Overnight AC buses and Volvo coaches from Delhi to Haldwani are available. From the drop-off point, taxis or shared cabs to Bhowali and onward to Tirchakhet can be hired.
  • Flight: The nearest airport is Pantnagar, approximately 70 km away. Taxis are available from the airport, or we can coordinate one for a seamless pickup.

  • Farm Accessibility: The farm is located 3 kms inside Trichakhet village, off the main Bhowali road. The final stretch is a narrow village road, so prior mountain driving experience is recommended. However, if needed, our team will be happy to assist you with directions or driving you down to the farm.
  • Close-to-Nature Living: This is a forest ecosystem. You might spot bugs or other natural guests — please don’t store food in your room to invite these guests inside. In case you witness any, do inform our team, we will relocate it back to nature.
  • Detached Loos & Baths: Composting toilets and baths are placed apart from rooms. A fair bit of walking is involved, not ideal for those with mobility issues.
  • Meals: Our meals follow a wholesome Satvik diet, thoughtfully curated to support a gentle detox experience. If you have any allergies or dietary preferences, please inform us at the time of booking.
  • Set Meal Times (Full Board): Meals are served in the dining hall. There’s no room service to preserve the spirit of shared living. Here are the timings:
  • Breakfast: 9:00 – 10:00 AM
  • Lunch: 1:00 – 2:00 PM
  • Dinner: 6:00 – 7:00 PM
  • Tea/Coffee: 8:00 AM – 7:00 PM
  • Substance-Free Zone: Alcohol, smoking, or recreational substances are not allowed. This space is designed to support a deep, detoxifying reset.
  • Mind the Terrain: Uneven trails and forest paths are part of the charm. Please bring comfortable shoes and a sense of adventure.
  • Experience Access: Guests can access the common room, creative spaces, Yogashala, budding food forest, and will be guided to the Sonorium for sound healing.
  • Off-the-Grid: As part of our sustainable living, rooms run on solar energy with rechargeable lamps and fans, please place them in sunlight, and charge phones in the library.
  • Drinking water: Potable natural spring water in steel dispensers—do not drink from taps.
  • 30 days before the arrival: Full refund.
  • 15-30 Days before the arrival: 50% cancellation charges of the total cost.
