Launched on International Women’s Day, our retreat has earned its heavenly reputation, hosting over 500 guests.With the Himalayas and the Bhagirathi River as companions, experience untouched treks revealing peaks like Swargarohini and Bandarpunch. Run entirely by local women, our homestay uplifts and empowers the community through hospitality, embodying the essence of Atithi Devo Bhava. How to Reach

  • Nearest Airport: Jolly Grant Dehradun – 4 Hours
  • Nearest Railway Station: Dehradun – 4 Hour
  • Nearest Bus Terminal: Dehradun/Rishikesh – 4 Hours
  • Chopper Service: 30 minutes from Dehradun to Chinyalisaur town, which is 20 minutes away from our Homestay. Instead of 4 hours, it would just take 1 hour from Doon to our Homestay.
  • Private and shared taxis are also available from Dehradun/Rishikesh.

The Matholi Homestay Policies

  • We appreciate it if you could carry all the essentials with you as it’s a remote location. But, in case, there’s still a need to get something, the nearest market is Chinyalisaur which is 10 km away from where you can get daily essentials.
  • The Homestay is 150 meters hike from the parking.
  • Loud music is not appreciated to maintain the sanctity of the place and not cause trouble to the flora and fauna. Soft music is fine.
  • For those who enjoy smoke, we’ve designated a serene area outside. Your adherence to this small request will maintain the purity of our indoor air.
  • As a homestay crafted by local women in this offbeat haven, we invite you to immerse yourself in the essence of local hospitality. Embrace this space as your own, where requests and feedback are not just heard but warmly welcomed. The locals are eager to assist and learn, ensuring your stay is both seamless and enriching.
  • Our culinary offerings are a celebration of tradition and authenticity, a detox experience with locally sourced delights—fresh veggies, invigorating smoothies, wholesome sprouts, pahadi chutney, and succulent fruits. We trust you’ll savor this gastronomic journey, finding satisfaction beyond the realms of continental or oriental fare. Your understanding and appreciation of these nuances make your stay not just a visit but a harmonious experience.
