Only locally available material has been put to use keeping the spirit of Green People’s mission from diluting.
To ensure low carbon footprint, the cottages have been setup at a 1 km walk down the hill from the main road so that it’s free from noise and vehicular pollution. Travelers should be ready to explore this offbeat place via 30 minutes trek. We also have mules to carry you in case you can’t trek. This property is completely self-sustainable and runs on solar panels. Travelers will be provided with solar lamps during the night inside the cottage. It’s a lights out experience but you would love the night under the starlight only.
The site is the midpoint for a popular trek to Nagtibba. We serve local delicacies and rely on our Garhwali kitchen staff to bring together local flavours. All the produce used for cooking purposes is sourced locally.
Local Dost - PradeepWe have a team of villagers trained in multiple dimensions of hospitality and management, agriculture and cattle rearing practices, and mountaineering from various reputed institutes. Our village managers are usually top end professionals volunteering their services as a Manager while on a self actualization or Tech-Detox sabbatical for 1 to 3 months, also doubling up as trainers for our staff and villagers around.
We have a total of 10 cottages and condominiums built in more than 1000 years old architectural technique called ‘Koti Banal’, which is indigenous to Garhwal Himalayas. The neat Garhwali cottages are best suited for the travellers wishing to experience the local way of life.
These cottages are designed to cover the basics and provide for an excellent living experience and a stay not only brings out the adventurer in you, but also ensures that we turn you into a Garhwali food connoisseur. The Greenhouse Cafe is the highlight of the place which serves you with what is grown within the cafe – pure organic bliss.
